Outscholastic activities – alternative forms for access to education of people with injures in integrated environment. (project 5)
It was financed from Foundation “Open society” in 2001.
The main directions included in this project are – Computer tuition, Arts and English language. The experience of the Association shows that the subject-organized courses are met with great interest. The facts confirm that – vastly more children than the first expected have joined to the occasions.
Computer courses. Except that Computer courses are modern and topical, they give a new opportunity for expression, realization and communication of the children and youth with injured hearing. It is organized in modules – initial computer literacy, text processing, Tables, graphic programs, Internet, Creation of Web pages. Every module was welcomed with considerable interest. Long lasting abilities and learning.
Arts. It is not a secret that this activity requires observation and it is typical of people with injured hearing. These courses have the aim to develop the abilities of the children and to prepare them for the competitions in the Art schools.
English language is the language of computers and Internet. It is particularly necessary in our days for surfing in the World Wide Web, for correspondence and for communication. Fruit of this project is the hall of ARDUS for computer tuition equipped with 4 computers, modem, scanner printer and the present Web page.
